ON MY MIND: Don’t Fall for the Okie Doke!!

After seeing something that really disturbed me, this post is for our young people especially young ladies. After looking for love in ALL the wrong places during my younger years, I can say this and know what I am talking about. DO NOT FALL FOR THE OKIE DOKE!! There are people out there with evil intentions and you have to be aware of that. You have to be alert. You can’t let your guard down. Not this day and age. I am seeing too many young women die. Did you know there is a new missing person’s report almost every day? It’s becoming too normal.

Young people, everyone is sweet and loving and mushy in the beginning. Flattering words will be used. Promises will be made. But once your heart gets involved or allow your box to be opened, everything will change. THAT is when you will see the real side of a person. Remember this, if anyone tries to make you do something you don’t want to do, tries to turn you into something you’re not, says something or does something that makes you raise an eyebrow or there’s just an overall bad feeling when you get around a person…RUN as fast as you can BEFORE it gets to the vicious words, threats and physical altercations. If you allow yourself to fall into that pit, it will take you YEARS if not DECADES to get out of it and it won’t be something you’ll be able to do by yourself. You will have to pray during the tears and let God do His work.

To avoid the heartache, just don’t fall for the warm and fuzzy. Don’t fall for the okie doke. Stay alert and stay prayed up. If you don’t pray, start now.
