As a resident of Fayetteville, NC, Mr. Martin has served his community through: mentorship in Cumberland County Schools; Volunteers in several organizations;  Give numerous Scholarships and donations to high school student seeking to attend college; Clothed and fed the homeless in Fayetteville; Donated bicycles and head gear to Mr. Mathis and Social Service from 2004 to present, participated in Fatherhood programs helping young men that are at risk  and assist their parents by providing parental guidance; worked to ensure living Montfort Point Marine from 1947 to 1951 and others were recognized by the United State Government for their Military Service; Worked with the of Veterans Administration (VA), Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and NAACP to assist Veteran Brothers with obtaining military benefits and compensation entitlements; Volunteer during local elections as a  Election Precinct Official; Disaster relief worker and donator over the past 20 years and performed other services to uplift our community over the past 37 years; a life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. chairman of the Military Affairs Committee, developed an education and suicide prevention program for the Fraternity to support his military Brothers.
