A graduate of Fayetteville State University, Jelia is mixing things up with her love for the city, journalism, news, and music to bring you great weekend vibes!!!
Jelia is a native of Fayetteville, NC. This mother of three has been writing poetry in her journals since she was twelve. She obtained her bachelor’s in mass communications and master’s in journalism to sharpen her skills and craft in writing. After graduation, she started her radio career and worked for a local newspaper. She developed her passion for writing news coverage, blogs, and reviews during this time. As a writer, she has covered many events from news to politics and won the ACHI magazine 2018 award for journalist of the year. Jelia also intends to use her passion and talents to encourage others during this life journey. Inspiring others, spending time with her children, and traveling, are the things she enjoys.
